I should have expected this, but at least I recognized it for what it was. When you are in the will of satan everything seems to be going ok. After all, if you are using someone for a purpose, why would you "disturb" them. When you turn to the will of God, well lets just say that satan does not approve. You become a high value target. In phonetic alphabet the letters have words so they can not be misunderstood in times of stress. For example, if there we a lot of noise in the background and you needed to say the letter C, it could be misunderstood for the letter e, d, g, p, t, or z. Sounds pretty minor until you factor in that if someone needed to know the exact letter you said because the placement of explosive ordinance counted on that letter, this is when it becomes more serious. Hotel (high) Victor(value) Tango (target). I had drifted out of the will of God, and came back. The is one of the many good things about God, you can always, and are expected to come back. The trick is to know when you have drifted. Satan could sell a used car salesman a used car. The reason satan has this power is because the used car salesman didn't read the used car sales manual.
When I was in the will of satan I was still a target, because I had not drifted so far that I was an assett. When I say I was in the will of satan, I mean that my actions served his purpose. No pentagrams and goats blood or anything like that. The matter is that you are either, or. There is no in-between. This is evidenced by Matthew 7:16 "By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles"? Obviously you can't have a thorn grape or a thistle fig. However, satan would have you think you can. It is what it is. Likewise I can't be in the will of God, if I am tithing, going to church every Sunday, being there for my kids, but then trash talking my neighbor. The first three parts of the last sentence seem like fruit, but the last part is definitely a thorn. The thorn pierces the fruit causing it to rot. Henceforth the will of satan. It's just that easy to be in the will of satan and not know it. Coming out of the will of satan is like leaving a losing team. They trash talk you and try to make you feel bad. satan does more. He tries to buffet you with whatever means God will allow him to cause you turn back away from the will of God.
Today I awoke to the sound of the neighbors snow blower. The neighbors snow blower at 7:00am. I thought, who makes that much noise at 7am? I started to get upset about it. Then had some other annoying thoughts, then had some doubtful thoughts, then I started to get a little frustrated. Then, I stopped. I prayed, and realized I was under attack. This is encouraging to me, because it means I am back on the right track. And the even better thing is that sooner or later it will stop. As I get back fully into the will of God, the fractious spirits will retreat. Thank you Lord God for drawing me back close to you. Thank you for counting me worthy of your grace and mercy which you give freely. hallelujah!
